I know it’s spring when I want to tidy up. There is no other explanation for it.
Here’s what I’ll be celebrating the sun’s proverbial hat with.
1. Fresh bedding
This Parrots bedding by Matthew Williamson at Debenhams is anything but understated and would take my black, white and grey bedroom from winter to spring.
2. Wall storage
Following on from my A little rough around the edges post, I’m going to buy two of these wire storage boxes from Rockett St George and fix them to the wall in my utility room for some much-needed extra storage space. I love a bit of organisation.
3. A grown-up sofa
We’re really entering into escapism here, but I’d love a beautiful, timeless, clean sofa like this Blinder from Loaf. No crumbs, no smearing and no toys. Lovely.
4. A quick paint project
I have an old letter rack I picked up in a local antiques shop a few years ago that is looking very worn. A tester pot of Annie Sloan’s Versailles chalk paint later and I’m hoping it will be transformed. Watch this space.
5. Getting rid of things
I know that a life lived simply is a beautiful thing, so why do I have so much stuff? I can’t wait to sort through the children’s drawers, my wardrobe, the garage and the cupboard under the stairs and give or throw things away. Maybe I should start now!
